An offer to Hospice users from local financial advisers
We are pleased to announce that four local financial services / wealth management companies have indicated their willingness to offer to Hospice patients and their immediate family members, and to Hospice staff and volunteers, an initial financial review discussion free of charge.
There can be many reasons why you might wish to seek professional advice about your financial situation, including retirement planning, tax-efficient giving and end-of-life planning. And, if you’ve recently lost your life partner and are having to deal with financial matters yourself for the first time, you’ll almost certainly welcome some professional guidance and support.
Three of our four firms will be able to offer advice on the following matters:
- Investment management
- Family protection / insurance matters
- Pensions / retirement planning
- Lifetime tax planning
- Estate and Inheritance Tax planning
- Planning using Trusts
In addition, most firms are able to offer specialist advice in terms of planning for long-term care, and for the elderly and vulnerable.
The three firms and their representative contacts are:
Beckett Financial Services Limited – contact Jenny Williams on 01284 773751 or via email at jenny.williams@beckettinvest.com
St Edmundsbury Wealth Management Limited – contact Graham Austin on 01284 703803 or via email at Gaustin@stedswm.co.uk
Thomas & Young Wealth Management Limited – contact Jono Dorrington on 01284 334400 or via email at jdorrington.tywm@sjpp.co.uk
All four firms are able to provide advice on the management of lump sum receipts – for example, recently bereaved families and beneficiaries in receipt of substantial life insurance pay-outs, or inherited funds and assets.
The fourth firm is J.M. Finn & Company Limited – contact Neville Horn on 01284 770700 or via email at neville.horn@jmfinn.com
In order to fully understand your financial situation, advisers will need to dedicate at least 45 minutes to each review discussion, and possibly longer depending on your circumstances. Meetings will take place initially by telephone or video-conferencing. After the free initial review, if you require additional advice and wish to appoint the adviser to help you, the adviser will explain to you their normal charging structure.
