Interactive Map of Palliative Care Pharmacies

To support timely access to palliative care medicines during the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic PrescQIPP have developed an interactive Map of all the Palliative Care Pharmacy sites currently available in the East of England.

Please remember to phone your preferred dispensing site before sending the script to ensure the medication you are requesting on prescription is available and can be dispensed urgently to support timely patient care.

Referrals

Referrals are processed by the Referrals Office (open 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday), and are accepted from any healthcare professional or from patients and families.

Many drugs used in Palliative Care are used outside of the recommendations. There is wide experience of their use in Palliative Care. However, the responsibility for prescribing is taken by the Doctor or prescribing practitioner.

Explore groups and activities for your patients

Who are they for and where do they happen?

  • Some are open door, others require a referral to the Hospice.
  • We have groups for people with an illness and sessions for carers and bereaved adults and children
  • They happen at the Hospice building in Bury St Edmunds, as well as offering groups at The Burton Centre in Haverhill. Also, we have a growing number of support sessions around the West Suffolk and Thetford area.
