Casual Facilities / Handyperson Volunteer

St Nicholas Hospice Care is a successful and much-loved charity serving the local area of West Suffolk and Thetford. Every year we support nearly 2,000 local people, delivering care across multiple settings. Our services are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too, and include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help.
Are you a dab hand with a paint brush, or a maintenance maestro?
We’re looking for a friendly, practical Facilities/Handyperson Volunteer to lend a hand with occasional jobs and to help keep things running smoothly. If you enjoy tackling practical tasks and have relevant experience or just enjoy being able to make a difference, this could be a great way to use your skills while supporting St Nicholas Hospice Care.
This is a casual, flexible volunteering opportunity, ideal for someone who would like to help out when practical jobs arise. Full training and support will be given. As a St Nics volunteer you will be part of our wonderful hospice community, with access to social events, discounts in our retail stores, and regular updates on our services as well as other ways to get involved.
For more information, please read the Role Profile, or contact Brian Moss, Assistant Facilities Manager.
