Every step to the beat raises vital funds

Whether you walk in memory of a loved one, or for your local hospice, your steps will raise vital funds to help those facing dying, death and grief.

Online registration is open now at £16 for adults, £12 for children aged five to 17, and under-fives go free.

All those aged under 18 must walk with an adult.

Please note: due to high demand and sign-up numbers we are unable to guarantee that you will receive a T-shirt, wristband or medal.

On 22 June, come along to a brand new festival-themed walk around the heart of Bury St Edmunds.

Walk to the beat and together, share music, memories and incredible stories.

Starting and finishing in the Abbey Gardens, where you will find eating and drinking areas, stalls, merchandise and a selfie area. Make sure to get there early to soak up the atmosphere and take some great pics!

Both routes will set-off from 6pm, after music and a warm-up.

Celebrate your impact and memories of loved ones

Throughout the route, make sure you spot the special QR codes to see the incredible impact your fundraising makes with stories and videos from those who have received care from the Hospice.

In-memory: In your sign-up pack, you will receive a paper lantern that we would love you to personalise and share memories of your loved one on. There will be a special opportunity to place your lantern in remembrance en route at the Hospice.

Make an impact by raising sponsorship

We encourage all participants to raise sponsorship to support the work of St Nicholas Hospice Care, and aim for a minimum target of £100.

What your fundraising could support

To give you an idea of the impact you could achieve with your fundraising:

  • £100 could help pay for our Community Nursing Team to visit a patient in their home.
  • £250 could help pay for specialist one-to-one bereavement counselling sessions for someone grieving the loss of a loved one.
  • £500 could help fund specialist care nursing support on our inpatient ward.
