Anthony Faulkner – Trustee

Career Profile:

I initially qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse before joining an investment bank in The City where I worked for 24 years arranging complex financings for a range of clients including airlines, major banks and regional governments around the world.

I left banking in 2006 and spent a couple of years in executive search before leaving London and moving to Suffolk in 2009. Since moving to Suffolk, I have focussed on providing marketing, accounting and logistical support to my wife’s business as a leading sculptor as well as bringing Lavenham Hall to a stable state of repair, developing the garden and building an art gallery within the grounds.

Why did you become a St Nicholas Hospice Care Trustee?

I became a Trustee at St Nicholas Hospice Care in 2023 as I wanted to use my skills and experience to support an organisation which gave us as a family extraordinary support when my wife had a near-fatal encounter with cancer in 2012. Thankfully she survived against all expectation. Since then we have regularly supported the Hospice whether through opening the garden and house for Hospice events, donating all entry fees to the garden or putting on Shakespeare plays in the garden.
