Virtual Breathing Space
Virtual Breathing Space sessions have been cancelled until further notice. If you have any queries about this service, please contact the Independent Living Team on 01284 766133.
Are you living with breathlessness or caring for someone who is?
We can support you in living with breathlessness at our informal Breathing Space sessions for patients and carers. We will answer your questions, demonstrate helpful techniques and guide you through symptom management.
Our Virtual Breathing Space session is a monthly group that provides a mixture of education, exercise, peer support and relaxation to help those struggling with breathlessness to be able to cope with this very debilitating symptom.
Who can attend?
The group is aimed at people with long-term or life-threatening illnesses.
These virtual sessions will take place using the online communication tool Zoom.
Before you attend one of our Virtual Breathing Space sessions, if you could read some guidance and information we would be most grateful. You can read the guidance and information by clicking here.
To enable you to join Virtual Breathing Space sessions you will need to have Zoom downloaded.
The tool is free to download, and you can do so by clicking here. To save time on the day it might be a good idea to download in advance.
When signing up it will ask for a work email address, please don’t worry just use the address you usually use.
When does it run?
- Virtual Breathing Space sessions are currently on hold.
Please note: Due to the coronavirus, all of our face-to-face support groups and sessions in the community and at the Hospice are not currently running at this time. This includes activities usually held at the Haverhill Hub.
