Volunteer Weekend Receptionist

Could you spare a few hours of your time each month to welcome visitors to the Hospice?

We are looking for Volunteer Receptionists to help fulfil weekend shifts on Reception. One Saturday every 4 weeks from 09:00 – 12:30 or on a Sunday 12:30 – 16:00.

The Hospice reception is often the first point of contact for patients and relatives so a warm and welcoming approach is important, alongside an unflappable attitude and knowing your way around a computer. 

Duties of a reception volunteer include welcoming patients and visitors to the building, answering telephone calls and taking messages, using the till and opening and closing reception at the end of the shift.

All volunteers will receive relevant training and support and will be able to commit to one Saturday/Sunday in a four-week rota.
