Pedal with purpose
The St Nic’s Cycle Ride, taking place on Sunday, 11 May, is here to replace our long-standing event, The Edge Cycle Ride, with even more to offer.
This new ride offers fresh routes, new challenges and even greater opportunities to come together as a community.
Sponsored by Atkins Dellow, the St Nic’s Cycle Ride will see us team up once again with our event partner Maglia Rosso Cycling Centre, so whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for your next big adventure, this challenge is designed for everyone.

Choose your challenge
With on-road routes of 25km, 50km, and 100km*, there’s a distance for every ability. Plus, for those who like a mix of terrains, our 65km gravel route** combines road and off-road tracks for a unique experience.
All routes start and finish at the Maglia Rosso Cycling Centre in Hawstead, showcasing the stunning West Suffolk countryside along the way.
* All route distances are approximate. This is not a closed-road ride. Wherever possible, minor roads are used.
** This route will be a combination of gravel tracks and minor roads.

Pedal with purpose with our new cycling jerseys!
We’re thrilled to offer specially designed, high-quality jerseys for this year’s St Nic’s Cycle Ride.
Featuring the Hospice’s colours and logo, they’re a perfect way to show your support and stand out on the day. Priced at £35, all proceeds go directly towards supporting the vital work of St Nicholas Hospice Care, so not only will you look the part, but you’ll be making a real difference, too.
You can purchase your jersey at the event on May 11.

Register and receive a free training plan
Whichever route you choose to tackle, it’s never too early to start preparing. Special thanks to Josh McGuire (Max Power PT), who has provided a free training programme to help you prepare for the event.

Your reward awaits
All participants will receive a bespoke medal, a goody bag (sponsored by Atkins Dellow and Maglia Rosso), and access to refreshment stops on the route.
It’s our way of saying thank you for making a difference.

Make your ride count
By signing up, you’re not only challenging yourself, you’re supporting those facing dying, death, and grief in West Suffolk and Thetford.
