This course can be designed to meet your needs
Difficult Conversations (60-90 mins)
Facilitated by the St Nicholas Hospice Care Education Team
The session aims to:
- Identify skills to facilitate good communication
- Recognise barriers in the workplace and what are difficult conversations
- Look at and identify ways in which to ensure active listening and having a toolkit to ensure effective communication and support
Grief and Bereavement (60-90 mins)
Facilitated by the St Nicholas Hospice Care Education and Family Support Teams
The session aims to:
- Raise awareness of how to support your community, colleagues/peers, family and friends with their experience of loss
- Look at the meaning of grief, normal experiences on grief, feelings and processes
- Look at what is helpful and where to signpost for your community, colleagues, family and friends
Have you thought about…? Gravetalk / Life’s Questions (60-90 mins)
Facilitated by the St Nicholas Hospice Care Chaplaincy and Education Teams
The session aims to:
- Encourage people, teenagers and young people to think and talk about; life, society, death, funerals and grief
- Enable and empower people to have conversations on life’s challenges with their community, colleagues/peers, family and friends
