Shop Supervisor – Newmarket

Would you like to make an impact by leading one of our shop teams that are community based, offer amazing choice and genuine sustainability?

We are recruiting a Shop Supervisor for our shop in Newmarket.

What does this role involve?
As a Shop Supervisor, you will be accountable for your store’s overall performance, maximising sales through both physical and digital channels while achieving agreed store targets. You will lead by example, inspiring an inclusive and diverse team that consistently demonstrates the values of St Nicholas Hospice Care.

This is a varied, fast-paced, and hands-on role where no two days are the same. Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills are essential, alongside a clear understanding of visual merchandising (VM) standards and compliance expectations. Maintaining high standards across health and safety, operational compliance, and customer experience will be key to success.

Due to the high volume of donations and stock movement, the role can be physically demanding at times. However, it is also incredibly rewarding, as every aspect of the role contributes directly to supporting patients and their families through the work of St Nicholas Hospice Care.

What are we looking for?

·       Experience working in a customer facing role in retail, hospitality or service industry

·       Experience of leading, motivating and developing teams

·       Commercial awareness

·       Ability to achieve sales targets

·       Committed to achieving the highest retail standards at all times

·       Able to work under own initiative and take a proactive approach to changing business needs and objectives

·       Thrives working in a hands on, fast-paced environment

·       An understanding of budgets and P&L

·       Our shops are fast-paced and trade 6/7 days a week which means we require flexibility from our shop teams to work weekends
