A taste of rural life raised £8,000 for our charity
A cheque for £8,000 has been handed over to our Hospice by the organisers of the Euston Rural Pastimes event, which took place earlier this year (Sunday, 9 June).
The annual Euston Rural Pastimes event, at the Duke of Grafton’s Euston Park, showcased everything rural, including crafts, farm animals and country skills.
George Chilvers, St Nicholas Hospice Care Community Fundraiser, said: “As always, thank you to the organising committee for all their hard work.
“They put on yet another fantastic event and we are extremely grateful for the funds they have raised which will help us continue to provide end-of-life care and support for those who need it across our community.
“Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event and we hope to see you all again next year, which I am sure will be bigger and better than ever.”
Thousands flocked to the event throughout the day, with their entrance fees being split between our Hospice and local churches.
Visitors enjoyed a packed timetable of events across three show rings which included tractor displays, falconry sheepdog trials and dog agility.
Euston Rural Pastimes has been supporting the Hospice since their very first event 25-years-ago. Next year’s Euston Rural Pastimes will take place on Sunday, 11 June.
