Melanie reaches new heights for our Hospice

A leap of faith helped one woman raise £980 for as she celebrated her birthday with a difference.

Rather than cakes and candles fundraiser Melanie Hyde-Carr decided there was only one way she wanted to mark her 40th birthday – by taking part in a charity skydive for the Hospice.

Melanie said: ‘If you ever get the chance to do, just do it – it was amazing.”

Melanie decided to take the plunge for the charity as a way to remember a friend who had been cared for by the Hospice. The jump took place at Beccles Airfield.

Hospice Events Fundraiser Charlie De-Moore, said: “We are very grateful for Melanie’s fundraising efforts and pleased she chose to celebrate her 40th birthday while raising funds for the Hospice.

“The money Melanie has raised will make a big difference to the charity and it will help us to continue to provide help and support for our patients, their families and carers in West Suffolk and Thetford.

“Well done Melanie.”
