Quiz will be friendly competition as teams vie for victory

A popular quiz will return as a challenge which sees local businesses compete to raise as much as they can for a local Hospice heats up.

With their established quizzes at the Oakes Barn already a firm favourite, Box-it East’s Managing Director Claire Brooks,  who is taking part in the Jacobs Allen Accumulator Challenge in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care is looking forward to working with her team and others to raise as much as possible for the charity.

With the next quiz taking place on Thursday, 20 July teams are being urged to get their thinking caps on all in the name of a good cause.

Claire said: “Box-it East had such a wonder time being part of the Accumulator Challenge last year. We raised just over £2,500, nowhere near the top of the leader board – but what fun we had.

“This year we have the quiz nights booked at the Oakes Barn, the first one was on June 29, but we have more to follow, and new for this year, we have the Box-it East Quiz Champion trophies, but you have to be in it to win it

“Lots of local businesses enter teams, even our Accumulator Challenge rivals, but this is what makes the challenge special.

“The businesses involved want to win, but at the end of the day we are all on the same team working hard to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care. I can’t wait to see what our rivals are planning for us to enter.”

Having supported the challenge’s winners Green Duck with one of their more imaginative fundraising events during the 2016 challenge, last year Claire and the Box-It East team received special recognition for their efforts and were presented with the challenge’s ‘Going the Extra Mile Award’ – will Box-It East’s emphasis on teamwork prove a success again this year?
