Hospice helped by four-wheeled donation

Getting out and about has been made easier for a charity’s fundraising team thanks to a little help from a car dealership.

Donalds Mazda KIA Bury St Edmunds, on Easlea Road, which is part of the Donalds Group, has loaned St Nicholas Hospice Care a new KIA Sportage.

Abby Mayes, the hospice’s corporate fundraising manager, said: “As a charity it is important that as many people in our local area are aware of us and most importantly of what we do.
“The fundraising team is a big part of that as we attend events across West Suffolk and Thetford letting people know about the services we provide.
“The use of this car will make a big difference to us. It will allow us to visit more local groups and individuals who fundraise on our behalf and attend more of the brilliant events they run for us.”
The car will also make it easier for other hospice teams working across the community when they attend training events as well as meetings with local GPs and healthcare professionals across the area.
