Garden party will support Hospice

A volunteer at a Brandon charity shop is also giving her time to hold a fundraising garden party at her home.

Jean Bennett, who is a supervisor and volunteer at the St Nicholas Hospice Care shop, in London Road, is opening her Weeting garden on Sunday, 25 June to help raise funds for the charity.

Alongside her colleagues from the shop Jean will also be offering a raffle, as well as tea and cake.

“The Hospice’s Brandon shop is very much part of the community and people are so generous with their support. I hope this event will help acknowledge the good support the charity receives and what it achieves,” said Jean.

The garden party is at 11 Glebe Road, in Weeting, from 2-4pm on Sunday, 25 June. Entry to the garden costs £4 and includes a drink and a slice of home-made cake.
