Fabulous fashions will raise funds for Hospice
Fashionable fundraising will return to Bury St Edmunds as a stylish event will have models making their way down the catwalk all in the name of a good cause.
The stage is set for a stylish occasion as Fashion Fusion returns to The Apex, on Friday, 5 May, to raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
The catwalk event has raised more than £20,000 since it began in 2011 and this year will have even more to offer audiences, from the casual observer to the most fervent of fashion fans.
This year will see ten top high-street and independent retailers take part in the fashion show, which will also feature designs by fashion students from West Suffolk College and those who use the Hospice’s services.
Tickets, which cost £18, are now on sale for the event and can be booked through www.theapex.co.uk or by phoning 01284 758000.
“We are very excited to be hosting Fashion Fusion again,” said Councillor Joanna Rayner, St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture.
“St Nicholas Hospice Care have secured ten exciting retailers from Bury St Edmunds and the stage is set for a great evening.
“Over the past six years, we have been proud to support the hospice with their fund-raising efforts and this year is no exception.
“We hope it will not only be an evening to remember but also raise as much money possible for a very worthy cause.”
All tickets include a welcome cocktail supplied by the English Spirit Distillery, interval refreshments supplied by Sodexo Prestige and entry into the special seat number prize draw on the night.
Abby Mayes, St Nicholas Hospice Care corporate fundraiser, said: “Fashion Fusion is always a wonderful evening for the style-conscious.
“Our thanks go to The Apex team for holding Fashion Fusion again in aid of the hospice. In previous years the event has raised thousands for us, so I hope the 2017 event is another show-stopper.”
As well as being able to enjoy the show guests will also be able to view a selection of fashion and beauty related stalls in The Apex’s upstairs lounge before the show and during its intermission.
There will also be a raffle, with all proceeds going to the Hospice.
The event, which is sponsored by Robinsons Mercedes Benz Bury St Edmunds, The Arc, Javelin and Our Bury St Edmunds starts with drinks reception at 7pm before the show at 7.30pm.
