Dramatic haircut will raise funds

Revd Canon Sharron Coburn, the Rector of St Peter’s Church in Brandon, will say goodbye to her shoulder-length curly hair to raise funds for us and another charity.

Revd Canon Sharron, who is also one of the Bishop’s Ministry Officers in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocese, will be having her dramatic haircut at midday on June 8 during Brandon’s regular market, near the Coffee Caravan on Market Hill.

Revd Canon Sharron has also invited our Lead Chaplain, the Reverend Canon Sister Sharon Connell, to make the first cut before her hairdresser takes over.

As well as supporting us, this fundraising will also benefit the ‘The Mark Skinner campaign’, which aims to replace a play park in Brandon in memory of Liam, a young boy who lost his battle with cancer. All money raised will be split equally.
