Audi donation will make a big difference to us

Our Hospice will be able to drive forward its fundraising efforts thanks to a generous four-wheeled donation.

Bury St Edmunds Audi, on Skyliner Way, which is part of the Marriott Motor Group, has loaned the charity a new Audi A1 to help our fundraising team to get out and about in West Suffolk and Thetford.

Abby Mayes, Corporate Fundraiser for the Hospice, said: “As a charity it is important we are able to get out into the local community to let people know about all of the good work our Hospice does, and be able to visit all of those who support our fundraising efforts.

“The Audi A1 will make a big difference to us. It will allow us to visit more local groups and individuals who fundraise on our behalf and attend more of the brilliant events they run for us.

“We are extremely grateful to Audi for their support.”

Audi, who support other local charities as well, were happy to help the Hospice and it was a team effort to ensure the car was ready for action – including a full tank of fuel.

Gerald Piper, Aftersales Manager at Audi, said “We are delighted to be able to support this very worthy cause. The Hospice helps a lot of people not only in Bury but across West Suffolk and we are pleased to be able to show our support.

“We look forward to seeing the A1 out and about being driven by the St Nicholas Hospice Care Fundraising Team as they try to reach as many people in our local community as possible.”
