Atkins Dellow saddle up in support of Hospice’s cycle challenge
A local legal firm will be clocking up the miles, and vital funds, for us as more than 25 members of their staff are set to pull on their helmets for the cause.
Not only are they sponsoring the Hospice’s Edge cycle event, which takes place on Sunday, 11 July, the team at Atkins Dellow will also be saddling up themselves and using their own pedal power to raise funds by taking part.
So far, 27 of the firm’s employees have signed up, and they’ve been using their outdoor training sessions as a positive way to come together as a team.
Clare Fayers, who has been coordinating the team, said: “We are all thrilled to be taking part. Everyone has wanted to get involved with the challenge, which is great.
“Our training sessions have involved riding to and from a pub lunch, so they’ve gone very well, and they have been a nice chance for us to do something together as a team. We’ve also had lots of new starters, and it has been great for them to get involved and spend time with everyone.
“We’re determined to do as much as we can to help raise funds for such an important local charity. We just want to do as much as we can to support the Hospice.
“We’re very much looking forward to it.”

Charlie De-Moore, the hospice’s events fundraiser, said: “We are all so grateful to Atkins Dellow for supporting The Edge. Events like The Edge raise much-needed funds for the charity, which we really rely on to fund the care and services those in our communities facing dying, caring and grief need.
