Thomas soared in support of St Nic’s

On October 9, 2022 Thomas Vowels took a big leap and soared through the sky when he completed his skydive for St Nicholas Hospice Care, raising £950 in the process.

Thomas, who is also the manager of our shop in St John’s Street, did the challenge in memory of his Grandfather Neville. Neville was cared for by the Hospice at home.

Thomas said: “St Nicholas Hospice provides help, advice and support to people in West Suffolk and Thetford in their final chapters of their life, who are living with long-term or life-threatening illnesses.

“By completing this exciting and terrifying feat, I raised £950, which will allow this charity to carry on this remarkable task and give the very best care and support possible to the people who need it most in our community.

“I also completed this in memory of my grandad, Neville Farnsworth, who was given exceptional care from St Nicholas Hospice in his final weeks at home.

“Not only did I have an absolute blast completing my skydive, but I was able to raise funds which will help others. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to challenge themselves to something daring whilst also supporting a very important, local cause.”
