Volunteer Evening Receptionists
St Nicholas Hospice Care is a successful and much-loved charity serving the local area of West Suffolk and Thetford. Every year we support nearly 2,000 local people, delivering care across multiple settings. Out services are not just for patients, but for their family and friends too, and include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help.
We are seeking Volunteer Evening Receptionists to provide support on Reception from 17:00 – 20:00 and currently have the most urgent need on Tuesdays and Fridays. This role acts as the first point of contact for visitors and families as well as internal/external healthcare professionals entering and exiting the building.
The role itself can be very varied, with some days being more busy, and other days less so, however with volunteer support, we can ensure a warm welcome regardless. This is quite an independent role, due to the time of day, so will suit someone confident enough to work with limited supervision, once established.
You can view the full role profile here: Evening Volunteer Role Profile.
