Night of style and glamour at Newmarket Fashion Show proves a hit
The latest fashions from Newmarket retailers hit the runway and raised a stylish total for our charity.
Models strutted their stuff and generous supporters dug deep to help make the second Newmarket Fashion Show, in aid of the Hospice, a roaring success.

The stylist occasion, which took place at the Racing Centre, in Fred Archer Way, raised an estimated £1,000.
Miranda McCoy, Hospice Community Fundraiser and event organiser, said: “It was a wonderful evening and I would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket for the event and supported the raffle, and it was lovely to have Bob Champion join us as our special guest.
“The event highlighted just what fantastic support we have in Newmarket, from both the local retailers and the Racing Centre who made it possible to stage such a fabulous event.”
As well as a selection of stalls all selling a range of goodies including fascinators, shoes, handbags and a variety of pamper products the 60-plus guests were also treated to a fabulous show which featured models wearing fashions from Golding, Martha V, M&S, Roman, Tesco’s Florence and Fred, Bonmarché plus the Hospice’s very own retail shop.
The show, which featured racing fashions as well as a glamorous selection of dresses fit for the festive season, closed with a grand bridal finale as the groom, who donned a suit from Goldings, walked his bride who stunned in a dress from Bride-All down the catwalk.
Also showing his support for the evening was racing legend Bob Champion, MBE.
Mr Champion, a former jump jockey who won the 1981 Grand National on Aldaniti, acted as joint compere for the evening. The Racing Centre gave the venue for free, while local businesses and retailers contributed to the event’s grand raffle.
