Community support raises £21,000 for local hospice

St Nicholas Hospice Care is delighted to share that this year’s Pakenham Charity Beer & Music Festival has raised an incredible £21,000 in support of the charity.

The event, held on Saturday, 23 May, and organised by Pakenham Social Club, continues to go from strength to strength. This latest donation brings the club’s total support to an outstanding £50,000 over the past three years, reflecting the generosity and commitment of the local community.

The well-attended festival once again brought people together for an afternoon of live music, food and drink, raising vital funds to help the Hospice continue to provide specialist care and support across West Suffolk.

Pakenham Social Club’s organising committee, have said: “The Annual Charity Beer & Music Festival has, once again, demonstrated the community spirit, and enthusiasm that makes Pakenham and its surrounding villages such a special place, that can deliver very special results.

“The outstanding attendance, together with the invaluable sponsorship, support, and assistance received from local businesses, volunteers, performers, and residents, made this possible.

“On behalf of Pakenham Social Club, the committee extends its sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the festival’s success. Every contribution played a part in helping raise vital funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care and the exceptional work it carries out.

“The success of this fundraising effort is shared by everyone who contributed, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who played a part.”

“Reaching £50,000 over three years is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication and generosity at the heart of Pakenham and its surrounding villages.

“Support like this makes a real difference, helping us to be there for people and families across West Suffolk when they need us most.”
