Entry Fees and Registration
  • Registration opens Monday, 19 January 2026 and closes Wednesday, 17 June 2026 at 9am.
  • Early Bird ticket period 19 January to 23 March, and General Sale tickets from 23 March to 17 June.
  • To guarantee a finisher’s medal, register online before 17 June.
  • Included in entry fee:
    • Heart-shaped card for the Memory Wall
    • Refreshments along the route
    • Live music along the route
    • Finisher’s medal
    • Cake and hot/cold drink on completion
  • No minimum or upper age limit, but:
    • Under-18s must have parental consent and walk with an adult (18+) on either route.
    • All participants must agree to the Fit to Participate declaration during registration.
  • Confirmation email sent upon registration; full event details released within a month of the event.
Cancellation Policy
  • Places are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • If you cannot take part:
    • Inform us as soon as possible.
    • Return paper sponsor forms and close online giving pages.
    • Notify sponsors if you’ve received sponsorship.
    • Sponsorship funds can be returned to donors (minus platform fees).
  • If the Hospice cancels the event, we will offer an alternative date or refund.
The Walk
  • Location: Abbey Gardens, Bury St Edmunds (IP33 1XL)

  • Event Village includes stage, selfie area, and food vendors.
  • Routes: 10km or 15km on public roads and footpaths.
  • Road closures at certain points; participants must follow the Highway Code and marshal instructions.
  • Participants are responsible for their own health and fitness; consult a doctor if needed.
  • Only guide dogs permitted.
  • Entrants with limited mobility should contact the Events Team for advice.
  • Cut-off point: Participants must reach Mustow Street by 9pm; any walkers unable to complete the 15km course will be diverted.
  • All participants must finish by 10pm and vacate the site.
  • No running or jogging – this is a walk, not a race.
