Local MP pledges support for Hospice

A statement from St Nicholas Hospice Care following the news that one of our local MPs intends to donate to the Hospice following his appearance on a television show:

“We are a local charity, helping those faced with dying, caring and grief throughout West Suffolk and Thetford. We need to fundraise more than £12,000 every day to ensure our care and support is there for those who need it.
 
“Without our community’s kindness and generous support, we would struggle to keep our services going. Every gift we receive is a vital contribution, especially during these challenging times.

“Since becoming one of our local MPs, Mr Hancock has supported our cause by fundraising for us, and we appreciate his most recent pledge of support.

“While Mr Hancock’s team have confirmed his intention to donate, no additional information regarding the proposed donation amount has been shared.”
