Make a Will and help the Hospice during Wills Weeks
Since 2003, St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Wills Weeks have ensured that many in our community have been able to have a Will prepared to protect their loved ones, while raising more than £300,000 for the charity.
During these uncertain times the Hospice is working quickly to adapt to the needs of the community it supports.
We are running our services a little differently and have taken the difficult decision to pause our face to face community groups and postpone fundraising events, but we feel it is important that our Wills Weeks service remains available to all of those who wish to make use of it.
Nick Duncan, the Hospice’s Legacy Officer, said: “As well as raising funds for the charity over the past 16 years, our Wills Weeks have become a service to the community.
“While we know the timing and operation of this year’s Wills Weeks will be affected by the Covid-19 virus, if we can continue providing this service to the community safely, we feel we have a responsibility to do so.
“Our legal advisers have said that they intend to take appointments and will make their own operational decisions according to latest government advice, which may cause dates and availability to change.
“We would always recommend that everyone has an up-to-date Will and has shared their wishes with family, friends and loved ones. It doesn’t matter where you are on life’s journey, everyone needs a Will.”
