Noah makes donation to Hospice in Grandad’s memory

Forgetting the sweets and treats a kind ten-year-old donated £30 to the Hospice which cared for his Grandad.

Noah Lumley, who lives in Stanton, earnt his first ‘pay packet’ by helping his Grandad, and after being asked what he wanted to do with the sum of £30 he said he wanted to make a donation with it to St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Noah’s mother Sam Lumley said: “When asked which charity he would like to donate his money to, Noah, without hesitation, said to St Nicholas Hospice Care.”

Noah’s Grandad on his mother’s side, David Branson, benefited from the Hospice’s care in his final days in 2012 after he was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.

Sam added: “Even at just ten-years-old he never forgets his Grandad, who he lovingly referred to as ‘Grandad Oscar’. Noah hopes that his donation will help the Hospice to deliver care to others so that they can continue their amazing work.”
