Fundraising efforts pay off for Diss business
Generous farmers dug deep when they helped to raise cash for our Hospice.
Thanks to the efforts of Diss’s Frontier Agriculture a cheque for £1,870 was handed over to our charity.
The funds were raised through a moisture meter clinic which saw Frontier invite local farmers to have their moisture meters checked for free in return for a donation to the Hospice, Frontier’s chosen charity for the year.
Frontier’s Emma Henson said: “It was really nice to be able to support a local charity. The second clinic in particular was popular. We are pleased to have been able to raise so much for the Hospice.”
Moisture meters let farmers know when their grain is ready to be harvested by checking moisture levels, during Frontier’s two day fundraising drive 85 farmers bought their meters in to be checked.
Hospice Community Fundraiser Miranda McCoy, said: “I couldn’t believe it when Frontier told me how much they had raised.
“This money really will make a big difference to the Hospice and we are extremely grateful they have chosen our Hospice as their charity for the year.”
