Members of the Suffolk Art Society will be exhibiting paintings during three exhibitions, which will also raise funds for St Nic’s.
Lavenham exhibition
From Saturday, 24 May, until Sunday, 8 June, 65 members of the Suffolk Art Society will be exhibiting their work in the beautiful church of St Peter and St Paul, in Lavenham.
The contemporary artwork on exhibition covers a wide variety of subjects in many different media. All work on display will be for sale.
Suffolk Art Society, established in 1954, has 100 members from across East Anglia.
Membership is by selection, and the Society aims to showcase a high standard of artistic talent. During the exhibition, visitors can vote for their favourite painting.
Entry to the exhibition is free and the opening hours are:
- Saturday, 24 May from 1pm – 5.30 pm
- Sunday, 25 May from midday to 5.30pm
- Monday, 26 May – Saturday, 7 June 9am – 5.30pm
- Sunday, 8 June from midday to 4.30pm
The Society continues to support the work of St Nicholas Hospice Care, and 20% of the net profit from sales made during the exhibition will be donated to the Hospice.
