We are pleased to share that a second support group which aims to support adults living with cancer will launch in Haverhill.

Organisations have come together to help set up a new group in Haverhill which will support adults affected by cancer.

The Living with Cancer: A Support Group For All Adults group is for anyone who has been affected by cancer and will be held on the last Friday of the month from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Haverhill Hub, Camps Road, Haverhill, CB9 8HB (next to the library).

The sessions will be volunteer-led but are supported by Macmillan Cancer Support and St Nicholas Hospice Care. The group has also been kindly supported by Persimmon Homes Suffolk, who have made it one of their Community Champions winners and awarded the group £2,000.

Being diagnosed with cancer at any age comes with many challenges. At each session, it’s intended that this group will provide a safe space to exchange support and information, whilst discussing the unique challenges of living with a cancer diagnosis.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and you do not need to have a connection to any of the organisations supporting the group to do so. If you think it could help you, please come along, refreshments will also be available. Friends, family and carers are also welcome.

There is no need to book ahead.
