Come along to a special evening with Arthur Debenham, a lifelong Suffolk resident and the legendary voice of rallycross.
For decades, Arthur’s distinctive Suffolk accent and energetic commentary brought motorsport events to life, particularly at Lydden Hill circuit, where he worked alongside his late wife Adrienne. A founder of the West Suffolk Motor Club in 1966, Arthur’s passion for motorsport began during his early years working on a farm, where his boss was an enthusiast.
Alongside his love of motorsport, Arthur has spent his career in agriculture and now runs Suffolk County Tours, sharing his deep affection for the county with others.
Arthur will be hosting a talk on Thursday, 15 January at Bury Town Football Club, starting at 7.30pm. He’ll be reflecting on his life in Suffolk, from farming to rallycross and everything in between.
Tickets are £5 each (payable in cash on the night) and can be reserved here or by calling Arthur on 01284 766508.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to St Nicholas Hospice Care.
We’d like to say a big thank you to Arthur and the organisers for choosing to support us.
Please note this is a third-party fundraising event held in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.
