Charity shop set for birthday bash
Everyone at Newmarket’s St Nicholas Hospice Care boutique store on the High Street is hoping as many people as possible will join in their first birthday celebrations from 9am to 5pm, on Saturday, 16 September.
The shop’s window will be specially dressed for the festivities, which will mark a year since the shop moved into its current location and will include a tombola, celebratory cakes and cupcakes as well as refreshments.
There will also be 20 per cent off all stock (excluding new goods) on the day which means shoppers looking to pick-up a bargain or two won’t be disappointed.
Martin Logan, shop manager, said: “We have had a great year in our new location and we want to share that with everyone and of course say thank you for their support.”
Visitors will also be able to learn more about the Hospice and the free services it offers to those coping with long-term and life-threatening illness across the area as an information stall will also be set up on the day.
Martin added: “It promises to be a great day for the whole family with something to appeal to everybody, so please do come and join us and help us celebrate our first birthday here.
“By coming along to the event and supporting the hospice in this way, people can help us raise much needed funds that will go help us to continue to care for the people we support and their loved ones.”
The shop is also always on the lookout for new volunteers willing to give their time to the charity. In particular people are needed to cover Fridays and Saturdays, possibly on a rota basis.
If you think you could help please contact Martin on 01638 669750 or just pop into the store.
