Festive Fun Run Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be parking at the event? 

Yes. There will be free parking available on site. We ask you to please lift-share where possible to avoid overcrowding in the designated parking area.

What should I wear? 

We encourage everyone to dress up in festive-themed attire and enjoy the jolly atmosphere. However, it is also important that you dress appropriately for the weather, and wear layered clothing if it is wet and cold; this is especially important for young children. There are some uneven areas of gravel and grass on the route, so please wear sensible footwear such as trainers.

Is the event chip timed? 

No, but you are welcome to use your own running apps or devices to time your run.

Are dogs allowed? 

Culford School have very kindly allowed dogs on site, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. Please be a responsible owner and pick up any mess from your dogs.

Can I bring a pushchair or buggy? 

Yes, we can accommodate pushchairs and buggies. Upon registration, you can let us know if you will have any children under the age of 5 accompanying you, for whose entry will be free. The route is mainly on flat paved roads and footpaths, however there are some areas of gravel and grass to take into consideration, as well as a small set of steps at the end of the route. There will be marshals are various points along the route who may be available to assist you should you need help.

Can I take part if I use a wheelchair or have limited mobility? 

Anyone, regardless of age and ability, is welcome to take part in this event. We must advise, however, that the route includes areas with uneven surfaces, gravel and grass, and the last section includes a small set of steps. There will be marshals along the route who may be available to assist at certain sections. If you have any further questions, please email events@stnh.org.uk.

Will there be food and drink on site? 

Yes. There will be food vendors selling hot food and drink to participants and bystanders, plus water and refreshments will be provided to all those taking part.

Can I sign up on the day? 

Yes, however we recommend you sign up online prior to the event to guarantee entry with a Santa hat and medal. If you decide to sign up on the day, please arrive in good time before the start time to all enough time for our volunteers to take your registration.

What happens if the event is cancelled? 

If the event is cancelled due to very bad weather or unforeseeable circumstances, we would seek to provide an alternative date or offer a refund to participants.

Can my friends/family come along to watch me?  

Yes, of course! There will be plenty of activities in the event village which spectators are welcome to take part in. All children spectators must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
