Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take part?
The minimum age for participants in the adult waves is 16. Anyone aged under 18 must have signed parental consent.
When does registration close?
Online registration closes at midday, on Thursday, 11 April.
Can I sign up on the day?
Yes, though we encourage people to sign up in advance if possible.
Are there parking facilities?
Car parking will be available at The Playground (Church Farm, Church Rd, Barrow IP29 5AX), and will be signposted from the road. Where possible we ask you to car share to the event. Please also be aware that the entrance to The Playground is narrow and there will be pedestrians and participants using this entrance for the run.
What fitness level do I need to be?
Battle of the Knights is open to all and you can choose to run and race, or run and walk. You will need to be fit enough to get round the 4km route, and to have a go at the obstacles. It is possible to have a go at The Playground prior to the event.
Can I come along as a spectator?
Yes, of course! Please be mindful that there is limited parking so lift-share where possible.
Can I volunteer as a marshal?
Yes please! We need a lot of help at this event in order to keep all our participants safe.
Are there showers on site?
There are no showers on site and it is suggested that you bring a change of clothes and shoes and a towel with you for your return journey, and a bin bag to put your dirty items in.
Can I raise sponsorship money?
Although there is no minimum sponsorship amount required, participants are very welcome to raise money and if you need any sponsor forms, please do let us know.
