Hospice will start to test new ideas and ways of working

As part of its Listen Learn Adapt process the Hospice has been developing ideas about how our service can meet the needs of the community.

During the early stages of this process we asked people to share with us their stories regarding end-of-life care, death, dying and bereavement.

These real-life journeys have been used to allow the Hospice to look at new ideas and we are now asking them if the concepts we have come up with would improve their experiences.

During these conversations we will share draft examples of services with different people including those in the community and professionals. The response will help develop and push the ideas we have further.

The testing will not involve implementing a new service or changing our current practise at short notice.

Hospice services will continue as normal over the testing period, which will start this month.

The testing period is expected to last four weeks and as we test concepts we will continue to learn about their feasibility and gather more information on people’s needs.
