Bury Rugby Club singers have perfect pitch for Hospice
Taking some time away from the pitch players and supporters of Bury Rugby Club stretched their vocal chords and raised £363.68 for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Their charitable efforts, on December 21, saw the Bury rugby club choir visit a number of pubs and restaurants across the town where they serenaded the public with some festive tunes.
George Chilvers, St Nicholas Hospice Care Community Fundraiser, said: “A big thank you not just to Bury Rugby Club for their continued to support but to all of the town’s pubs and restaurants who happily opened their doors to the charitable singers and of course the members of the public who generously donated to the charity.
“The money raised will help the hospice to continue to care for people across the community when they need it most.”
