Generous businesses back Christmas tree to support St Nic’s
A festive fir is standing tall and shining brightly, thanks to the generosity of a collection of local businesses.
With St Nicholas Hospice Care having teamed up with The Arc, a selection of businesses have kindly agreed to sponsor the tree in Charter Square to raise funds for the charity which supports those facing dying, death and grief across West Suffolk and Thetford.
Lee Graham, the hospice’s corporate fundraiser, said: “We are so grateful that so many local businesses have chosen to support St Nic’s this year by sponsoring the Arc’s Christmas tree. The tree looks wonderful and it is really helping to spread festive cheer.
“I’d like to thank all of those who have given so generously. To be able to provide its service to those who need it across the community we need to fundraise £17,500 per day, sponsorship like this makes a real difference to us and we’d like to say a big thank you.”
Firms that have sponsored the Christmas tree are The Arc, Avelair, Bluesys IT Services, British Sugar, Bury St Edmunds IT, Cambridge Care Company, Chassis Cab, Glasswells, Havebury Housing, Lark Technology, Metrita Wealth Management, Renaissance Stoves and the Styne Group.
