Members of the Suffolk Art Society will be exhibiting paintings during three exhibitions, which will also raise funds for St Nic’s.

The exhibitions will take place in Lavenham, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds, and all will include many different subjects in a variety of media and all work on display will be for sale.

The Suffolk Art Society, which was established in 1954, has 100 members from across East Anglia.

Membership is by selection, and the society aims to showcase a high standard of artistic talent.

The society will be supporting the work of the Hospice by contributing a percentage of their net profit.

Entry to the exhibitions is free, and the dates, locations and opening hours are:

  • Lavenham: The Church of St Peter & St Paul, from Sunday, 25 May to Sunday, 8 June. Open each day from 9am-6pm, except Sundays when hours will be midday-6pm.
  • Long Melford: Holy Trinity Church, from Friday, 18 July to Sunday, 3 August. Open each day from 9.30am-6pm.
  • Bury St Edmunds: St Edmundsbury Cathedral, from Friday, 24 October to Saturday, 1 November. Open each day from 9.30am-5pm, except for Sundays when opening hours will be midday-3.30pm.
