Returning for another year, Thetford Open Gardens 2026 promises a delightful celebration of horticulture, community spirit and charitable giving. Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, visitors can explore a diverse collection of 38 gardens scattered throughout Thetford and Croxton, from established favourites to exciting new additions.

Expect a rich variety of planting styles, from rambling roses and colourful perennials to creative garden designs and peaceful hidden corners. Along the way, enjoy refreshments, browse locally grown plants, and meet the passionate gardeners behind each space.

With 100% all proceeds supporting St Nicholas Hospice Care, the event continues its proud tradition of raising vital funds for local families while showcasing the very best of Thetford’s outdoor spaces. This year, the team are aiming to smash last year’s £18,724.22 total and raise £20,000 with their 20 for 20 campaign. There’s a magnificent collection of prizes up for grabs in this year’s Grand Draw, including days out at RHS gardens, indulgent afternoon teas, vouchers for Thetford Garden Centre, travel vouchers, a Rhino gift card, a unique bee experience, and hampers galore.

Thetford Open Gardens takes a huge amount of planning, and the team work on the event throughout the year. As they give 100% of everything raised, sponsors and funding are required to cover running costs such as banking, insurance, licences, print, signage, raffle prizes, and other expenses. This is the 20th consecutive year the team have raised money for St Nic’s, raising more than £160,000 to date.
