Competitive fundraising sees thousands raised

Fundraisers have hit the target as they raised thousands for a good cause with a day of competitive fun.

The charity clay pigeon shoot, which took place on Sunday, 8 September, in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care has raised £2,436 for the charity, which supports and cares for those facing dying, death and grief.
Aimed at regular Clay Pigeon Shooting Association competition participants the event, attracted around 150 people from East Anglia and further afield to Highwaymans Shooting Ground.
Bob Smith, the event’s organiser, said: “I really enjoyed it and I am very pleased with how everything went on the day. Everything seemed to work really well and it is a good amount of money that has been raised for an important local charity.”
The funds were raised through entrant fees, sponsorship and a grand raffle, which was well supported by the local clay pigeon shooting community.
