35 stories for 35 years: Hospice’s CEO receives MBE

This time last year the Hospice’s Chief Executive Dr Barbara Gale received an MBE for her services to hospice care.

“I couldn’t have received this award without having such an amazing team of staff and volunteers. They work so hard to make the experiences of people in the community better and help people as they face death, dying and grief.”

Barbara became the charity’s head in in 2007, and before that, she was clinical service director.
