35 stories for 35 years: Hospice’s in-patient ward gets a facelift

In September 2008 the Hospice celebrated the completion of the refurbishment of its in-patient ward, renamed ‘Sylvan Ward’, with a series of guided tours and events.

The celebrations culminated in a garden fete in the Hospice grounds on Saturday, 6 September, with patient admissions starting on Thursday, 11 September 2008.

The refurbishment of the ward has been designed with patients at its very heart. All rooms have a view of the beautiful garden, air conditioning, individual flat screen TVs and wireless internet access.Facilities for family members to stay overnight were also improved with ensuite facilities, TV, telephone and internet.
