Virtual Bereavement Café
Our Virtual Bereavement Café is currently taking a break. Please keep an eye on this page for any updates.
Everyone experiences grief in a unique way, traditionally our Bereavement Cafés were places that people could meet others who had gone through similar experiences.
However, with the ways, people can meet physically still restricted, we have launched a Virtual Bereavement Café.
The virtual café will be a space where attendees can speak freely and share stories with others coping with losing a loved one. It will be a place to talk about the pain of loss but also find courage and strength in knowing you are not alone.
The Virtual Bereavement Café will be a place where people can join for peer support facilitated by the Hospice’s trained staff and volunteers.
There will be information available on the other services we offer like our community connectors but also signposting to other relevant organisations
Following our first virtual café, the café will continue weekly through Zoom, running from 11am to 12.30pm.
Who can attend?
Our Virtual Bereavement Café is open to everyone living in West Suffolk and Thetford coping with a bereavement. You don’t have to have previously been connected to the Hospice in any way.
These virtual sessions will take place using the online communication tool Zoom.
Before you attend, if you could read some guidance and information, we would be most grateful. You can read the guidance and information by clicking here.
To enable you to join Virtual Bereavement Café sessions, you will need to have Zoom downloaded.
The tool is free to download, and you can do so by clicking here. To save time on the day, it might be a good idea to download in advance.
When signing up it will ask for a work email address, please don’t worry just use the address you usually use.
