Living Positively

Living Positively is a virtual group that provides a toolkit of strategies for the physical, emotional, practical and spiritual challenges of living with a palliative condition.

Having a long-term or life-threatening diagnosis can turn your life upside down. Living Positively offers professional and peer support to help tackle some of the issues you may be facing.

Over an eight week block, the sessions will cover topics such as:

  • Symptom management:  breathlessness and exercise
  • Finances and community resources
  • Symptom management:  fatigue, sleep hygiene, nutrition and energy management
  • Advanced care planning
  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Anticipatory grief and relationships as roles change
  • Spiritual care and chaplaincy / final arrangements
  • How to manage as situations become more complex and retain quality of life.

Who can attend? 

This group is for both those who have been diagnosed and their loved ones.

When does it run?

The session takes place via Zoom on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm starting from Monday, 15 March.

These virtual sessions will take place using the online communication tool Zoom.

To enable you to join Living Positively you will need to have Zoom downloaded.

The tool is free to download, and you can do so by clicking here. To save time on the day it might be a good idea to download in advance.

When signing up it will ask for a work email address, please don’t worry just use the address you usually use.
