Call for gardens to open their gates and grow the funds raised for St Nic’s
Glorious gardens of all shapes and sizes are needed as the Hospice wants to see its Hidden Gardens of Bury programme blossom.
The charity, which cares for those across west Suffolk and Thetford living with dying, death and grief, needs people who would be willing to join the many green-fingered gardeners already showcasing their blooms to raise funds.
Now in its 34th year the Hidden Gardens event, which this year takes place on Sunday, 21 June, is a chance for visitors to see the wonderful efforts residents put into their secret patios, lawns, borders, vegetable gardens, greenhouses and other features usually shielded from view behind their facades and high walls.
Hospice community fundraiser Miranda McCoy said: “We are very lucky to have a varied Hidden Gardens programme that showcases a wealth of different gardens across the town, but we know there are lots of unseen gems yet to be discovered.
“We are keen to welcome new gardens to join us as this event continues to blossom and it remains a firm favourite with all our lovely supporters.”
