35 stories for 35 years: Legacy giving
The Hospice’s first receipt of a gift in a will was recorded in the 1988/89 accounts.
In the early 2000s the charity’s Trustees began to recognise the value of legacy income.
Since then legacy giving has continued to go from strength to strength.
We now have a well-supported Wills Weeks campaign, which runs through the month of June, and current Legacy Officer Nick Duncan even convinced the Chief Executive to have her image used on the side of a bus as part of his ‘size doesn’t matter’ campaign.
