Wills Weeks in Bury St Edmunds

Where?

Bury St Edmunds, United Kingdom

When?

August 15, 2022

Our 19th annual Wills Weeks event offers our community the chance to make a Will in return for a donation to the Hospice instead of paying a fee to a legal adviser.

Our main Wills Weeks event took place in June but some of our participating local solicitors are continuing to offer appointments, but please don’t delay as appointments are limited.

Since 2003, Wills Weeks have ensured that many in our community have been able to have a Will prepared to protect their loved ones, while raising more than £300,000 for the charity.

Nick Duncan, the Hospice’s Legacy Officer, said: “Our Wills Weeks event provides access, at a discount from normal fee costs, to our St Nicholas Hospice Care goodWill Legal Advisers. Our Wills specialists are all lawyers whose firms are closely regulated by their professional bodies and fully insured against future claims should anything go wrong. Other Will-writing services rarely offer clients the same levels of protection.”

A Will is a person’s written instruction for what is to happen to everything they own – their estate – after their death, and who should become guardians to their minor children. Anyone without a Will risks leaving behind uncertainty for their loved ones, unfairness – and possibly even severe hardship or family conflict.

Anyone requiring further advice about Wills Weeks may call Nick on 075 4565 7216 or email nick.duncan@stnh.org.uk.
