V24 Virtual Outdoor 24 Hour RaceEnter V24
August 29, 2020 10am, until 10am on 30 August
With the Suffolk Trail Festival on hold until 2021, its organisers have decided they want to still support two charities by encouraging people to pull on their trainers and take part in their new event the V24 Virtual Outdoor 24 Hour Race.
By entering the race, participants will be raising funds for the Hospice and Suffolk Mind.
What is it?
The race is all about setting your own challenge. You’ll choose the distance you want to run, whether you want to run solo or as part of a team and where you want to run. The only rule is you must complete your challenge within a 24-hour timeframe.
Everyone should complete their distances in the great outdoors (treadmills are not permitted) and any social distancing guidelines in place at the time should be adhered to.
To keep runners motivated there will be certificates for those who reach certain milestones: five miles, half marathon, marathon, ultra-marathon (50k) and 100 miles.
There will also be awards for the furthest distances (1st, 2nd and 3rd for male and female runners and 1st place for small and large teams).
When is it?
You’ll need to complete your (or your team’s) challenge between 10am on Saturday, 29 August, and 10am on 30 August.
How do I enter?
Visit the Suffolk Trail Festival’s website for everything you need to take part: https://www.suffolktrailfestival.co.uk/product/v24/.
It costs £12 to enter, or £17 if you would like a bespoke eco-friendly medal.
