Tea cosy competition: St Nic’s celebrates the Jubilee
Bury St Edmunds, Bury Saint Edmunds, UK
May 30, 2022
Calling all knitters and crocheters – enter our tea cosy competition and celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
We’re hoping as many people as possible will get their knitting needles and crochet hooks out and create a tea cosy fit for a queen.
We’re hoping for a creative array of cosies, they don’t need to be regal-themed, but they will need to stand out from the crowd.
There will be rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and the first place winner will also receive an Afternoon Tea for two at the Swan in Lavenham.
Entries will be judged by an independent panel, with judging taking place on Monday, 13 June, at midday at our Haverhill Hub.
All tea cosies will be displayed at our Haverhill Hub until June 30.
Tea Cosies will be available to purchase after the judging date for a suggested donation of £5.
To be in with a chance of being crowned our winner, you’ll need to enter your tea cosy by Monday, 30 May. Tea cosies can be taken to any of our shops or posted to us.
We are unable to return tea cosies once they have been handed to our shops or posted to us.
Already entered our competition.
If you’ve already dropped your tea cosy off at one of our shops, please fill in and submit the form below. Please remember to include the location of the shop and the entry number given to you by the shop.

Support our wool-inspired afternoon tea
To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we’re also bringing people together to create an afternoon tea with a difference.
We need the community to join our staff and help create a wool-inspired afternoon tea display that wouldn’t look out of place at one of Her Majesty’s Garden Parties.
