La Maison Bleue, Churchgate Street, Bury Saint Edmunds, UK
July 4, 2022
£5 per raffle ticket
A summer raffle is set to benefit two charities as Bury St Edmunds restaurant Maison Bleue and local artist Ruth Simpson join forces.
Maison Bleue restaurateurs Pascal and Karine Canevet, together with artist Ruth Simpson will be raffling one of Ruth’s works of art in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care and GeeWizz.
The raffle for the stunning acrylic painting ‘Suffolk Field Edge’ will remain open until Saturday, 27 August 2022.
The 76 x 76cm acrylic and inks on a deep-edged canvas shows a field of wildflowers, including Scabious, Knapweed, White Campion and Buttercups – nature at its best.
The raffle is in memory of Paul White, a father of two who loved cycling and running in the Suffolk countryside.
Paul was diagnosed with stage 5 glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer and lived for just 11 weeks following his diagnosis.
The Hospice provided care during Paul’s last few days and has offered his family bereavement support.
Anyone who would like to make a donation or buy a £5 raffle ticket can do so at Maison Bleue, Churchgate Street, Bury St Edmunds and online at: geewizzcharity.com.
